A free winter tour of Kis-Balaton, observing underwater life.
Overview
❄️ A guided winter field trip will start in the highly protected area of Kis-Balaton in connection with World Wetlands Day, which will be held on February 2, the anniversary of the 1971 signing of the Ramsar Convention. The tour will focus on the winter image of the floodplains, the landscape-forming role of the Zala River and Héviz Canal, as well as the phenomena of underwater life, even during the coldest period of the year.
🐾 In the final stage, the habitat managers of the area are visited, and participants can treat the animals to some tasty snacks.
