Discover the traces of the Tethys Sea! A geo-walk, cultural history and wine tasting await you in Veszprém.

Overview

🌍 The "Veszprém Geopolis" walk takes you to the center of the Bakony-Balaton UNESCO Geopark, where the geological and cultural values of Benedek Hill and the Séd Stream will be the focal point. During the program, you will learn about the traces of the former Tethys Sea, fossils, and the city's built heritage.

🍷 The walk ends with a presentation on old Hungarian grape varieties at Pajta Wine Storage, followed by a tasting in the atmospheric 300-year-old cellar, where you can choose between wine and sparkling grape must.

📍 Meeting point: Entrance to the Waterworks Museum (5-6 Kittenberger Kálmán Street)

🗺 Route: Halagút → Benedek Hill → Pajta Wine Storage
