Introduction

Since 2017, Túrajó has been taking its customers beyond their comfort zone – to abandoned factories, ghost towns, and secret military sites. The tours are not only spectacular, but also informative: industrial history, local legends, and forgotten memories come to life. The unique atmosphere and professional credibility of the programs have been recognized with a Tripadvisor award for several years.

Availability & Operation

It explores forgotten places in and around Veszprém, but its programs are also available in Balatonfüred and Inota. The walks start at pre-announced times or by individual arrangement. The organization actively communicates on its social media pages and also offers tours in English. The Túrajó Association also coordinates cultural heritage protection projects, such as the restoration of the Veszprém narrow-gauge railway.
