18th Almádi Cup cross-country race and Balatonalmádi 11 performance hiking tour

In February, the forest above Balatonalmádi will once again be filled with enthusiastic hikers and cross-country runners competing for prizes.

🏃‍♂️ An 11 km scenic cross-country run and hiking route from the center of Balatonalmádi to Óvári lookout, then along the ridge of Vödör Valley to the hunting lodge in Szentkirályszabadja, and then back to the town. The route is marked with orange tape.

🌲 The start is in front of Pannonia Cultural Center, and you can register on site between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. Runners will receive chip timing, finishers a medal/pin, hot tea, sandwiches, and other treats at the finish line.

🗓️ Date: February 1, 2026 (Sunday)

📍 Start-Finish: Balatonalmádi, Pannónia Cultural Center (4 Városház Square)

📝 On-site registration: 9:00–10:30 a.m., PKK lower level

🚩 Distance: 11 km, orange tape marking, GPS track available

💰 Cross-country running entry fee: 4,700 HUF with advance registration (until January 7), 5,700 HUF (until January 13), then 7,700 HUF, payment by bank transfer or in cash on site

⌚ Timing: SportIdent; rental fee 300 HUF, own chip can be used (otherwise, it must be added to the registration fee).

🎽 Cross-country running shirt: pre-order by Jan. 13 (cotton/technical, with or without name), additional cost

🏆 Prizes: all participants receive a unique finisher's medal, and category podium finishers receive medals and prizes

🏃‍♀️ Categories: 6-6 age groups for women and men (based on year of birth)

🔫 Start: 11:00 a.m.

📣 Announcement of results: 12:30 p.m., at the finish line.

🥾 Hiking entry fee: 2,000 HUF with advance registration (until January 26), 2,500 HUF thereafter, payment on site in cash, discounts available (student, pensioner, association member discounts)

⏰ Tour start time window: between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m., time limit: 4 hours.

🎖 Tour reward: a badge, a commemorative card (via E-Mail, on request).

🏁 Services at the finish line: tea, sandwiches, sweet treats.
