Randonneurs Hungary
Introduction
Randonneurs Hungary is the Hungarian community and organizing team for long-distance cycling, otherwise referred to as randonneuring. The team organizes performance tours in Hungary according to the rules of the Brevets de Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRM). The organization's objective is to transform cycling from a mere sport into a profound experience of endurance, introspection, and camaraderie, irrespective of the distance traversed, be it 200, 300, 400, or 600 kilometres.
Basically, this is a series of cycling endurance tours, which differ from other cycling tours only in terms of distance, as even the shortest route is 200 km long.
Randonneurs Hungary events are not competitive in nature; rather, they are timed tours in which participants complete distances at their own pace, passing through checkpoints. The objective is not to achieve victory, but rather to successfully conclude the tour and to derive pleasure from the experience of the extended journey, the landscape and the companionship of fellow cyclists.
