Introduction

The Ministry of Construction and Transport (Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium, abbreviated as ÉKM) is one of the Hungarian government's specialist ministries. It performs strategic and operational tasks relating to domestic construction, transport development, infrastructure management and regional planning. Its goal is to create safe, sustainable and modern built environments and transportation systems in Hungary, in both cities and rural areas.
