Magyar Kerékpáros Turisztikai Szövetség

The Magyar Kerékpáros Turisztikai Szövetség (Hungarian Cycling Tourism Association - MAKETUSZ) is a national professional and civil organization established to bring together stakeholders in cycling tourism and promote the development of cycling as a sustainable, experience-based form of travel in Hungary. The association's goal is to make cycling tourism not only a sport, but also a cultural, community, and economic opportunity—in cities, in the countryside, and across borders.

MAKETUSZ provides professional support to local governments, tourism service providers, civil organizations, and development projects, while actively participating in the development of cycling infrastructure, route planning, awareness raising, and campaigns.

• Building a network of cycling-friendly service providers;
• Event organisation, tour days, community programmes.

The association operates on a nationwide basis, and the majority of its programmes are conducted in bicycle-friendly towns and tourist regions.

The majority of the development sites and events are accessible, and the association pays special attention to creating an inclusive and safe environment.
