Introduction

The Magyar Kerékpáros Turisztikai Szövetség (Hungarian Cycling Tourism Association - MAKETUSZ) is a national professional and civil organization established to bring together stakeholders in cycling tourism and promote the development of cycling as a sustainable, experience-based form of travel in Hungary. The association's goal is to make cycling tourism not only a sport, but also a cultural, community, and economic opportunity—in cities, in the countryside, and across borders.

MAKETUSZ provides professional support to local governments, tourism service providers, civil organizations, and development projects, while actively participating in the development of cycling infrastructure, route planning, awareness raising, and campaigns.
