Introduction

The Hungarian Kayak-Canoe Federation (MKKSZ) is the national governing body for kayaking and canoeing, operating since 1941. The association's objectives are to promote competitive sports, training, leisure sports, and water tourism, as well as representing the sport domestically and internationally.

MKKSZ coordinates the domestic competition system, supports the work of regional academies and member organizations, and participates in the work of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, regional academies and member organizations, and international federations (ICF, ECA). The federation pays special attention to promoting sport, coach training, anti-doping activities, and the safe practice of winter sports.
