FUTNIVEGY - Family Running and Hiking Day

FUTNIVEGY is a tradition-building, free, family-friendly day of trail running and hiking/excursions, with Balatoncsicsó as its central venue. We’ve brought this event to life for you in partnership with the municipalities of Szentantalfa, Tagyon, Szentjakabfa, Óbudavár, Zánka, Monoszló, and Balatoncsicsó in Nivegy Valley. The goal of our event is to spread the joy of physical activity, promote a healthy lifestyle, and bring local communities together in beautiful Nivegy Valley. Building on the active athletes, marathon runners, and UltraBalaton finishers living in the region—while also keeping the youngest participants and beginners in mind—we’ve created an event where people of all ages can find the perfect challenge for themselves. FUTNIVEGY is not just a joyful community event, but a well-equipped, professionally organized sporting event. Although participation in the event is free, professional and performance-oriented runners are guaranteed to find what they’re looking for here.

Timing with professional chips: every registered participant—whether runners competing in the 10 km or 22 km races, relay teams, or hikers choosing any distance—will receive a race number equipped with a timing chip. This allows you to assess your fitness with the most accurate lap and finish times, down to the second.

A locally inspired, wooden finisher’s medal: participants who complete at least one of their chosen running or hiking distances will receive a special recognition upon crossing the finish line: we’ll hang a medal made from Nivegy Valley wood by a local woodcarver around their necks. This medal, which reflects the local identity, will serve as a fitting memento of your achievement in the Balaton Uplands.
