If you want to get moving, you have an almost endless array of options available to you these days, ranging from various group and individual classes. 🚶♀️🏋️♀️ From one of the oldest forms of movement—walking—all the way to machine-assisted workouts based on modern research. 🌿 FolkNess harnesses the diversity inherent in Hungarian folk dance and the knowledge accumulated over centuries to help you maintain your health and improve your endurance. Just think, for example: ✨ the Somogy ugrós—which is a perfect cardio workout, 🧍♀️ the csárdás dances of the Upper Tisza region—which improve your posture, 🤝 or a Moldavian circle dance—which, in addition to letting you feel the power of moving together, also builds endurance. 🎶 We use these dance steps during the nearly one-hour session, the first part of which, of course, involves warming up, loosening up your muscles and joints, then getting your heart rates up, strengthening your muscles, experiencing the power and harmony of community through circle dances, and finally cooling down and stretching. 🧘♀️ Along the way, you almost imperceptibly learn the dance steps of various regions of the Carpathian Basin, and Hungarian folk songs and dance tunes stick in your heads. 🎵 The project titled “Our Everyday Movement—Shared Experiences in Balatonfűzfő” is being implemented as part of the Veszprém-Balaton European Region of Sport 2026 Program.
