Sport Festival in Keszthely — 20 beach sports in a single day
The main patron in the event is Ádám Steinmetz, Olympic champion water polo player, and its patron is Endre Iglódi, president of the Hungarian Olympic Academy. The organizers warmly welcome people of all ages, as one of the festival’s most important goals is to bring sports closer to families in a playful and enjoyable way, friends and individual athletes alike.
“Come, take your pick, try it out, and exercise to your heart’s content all day long!” Visitors can explore a total of twenty beach sports and forms of exercise. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy kayaking and canoeing programs, SUP paddling, water aerobics, open-water swimming, beach water polo, and regatta races.
There will be no shortage of challenges on land either. Among other things, visitors can try their hand at beach, handball, korfball, beach soccer, spinning, table tennis, foot tennis, badminton, and pétanque. Those who prefer calmer, more restorative activities can also participate in yoga and spinal exercises. Families can also look forward to sports tournaments and intergenerational team competitions.
However, the festival isn’t just about sports. The program also includes lifestyle workshops and preventive screenings, so in addition to physical activity, participants can also receive useful information about health.
And what’s even more exciting: it’s worth trying out as many sports as possible, since participants who complete most of the sports events will be rewarded with valuable prizes.
Admission is completely free, and on top of that, on this day you don’t even have to pay for beach admission. So there’s nothing left to do than to plan a sporty Saturday, bring your family or friends along, and discover which activity will become your new favorite.
