The Veszprém-Balaton European Sport Region 2026 competition is not just about winning a title – it is a common cause that gives self-confidence and motivation, helping to make exercise a part of everyday life. It doesn't matter if you go to school, are a stay-at-home parent, work, or have special needs – we want to help you make exercise a joyful experience, and physical and mental well-being become a permanent state of being.

Exercise not only improves physical health, but also strengthens social relationships, promoting a more cohesive and happier society. The international attention that the competition brings creates new opportunities for tourism, the economy, and sports development. In this way, the region is building not only for the present but also for the future, where sport and an active lifestyle will be accessible to everyone.

The project is a joint effort of the local governments of Veszprém and the Bakony-Balaton region, with the participation of 100 municipalities, aims to ensure that the region can hold this prestigious title in 2026.
