10th Csaba Árpád Memorial Tournament – Hungarian Open Rapid Chess Championship 2025.

 The Csaba Árpád Memorial Tournament will be held for the tenth time in Ajka on July 19; the tournament will also serve as this year's Hungarian Open Rapid Chess Championship.

Competition format:

Rapid competition: 9 rounds in the Swiss system, 2×20 minutes + 5 seconds bonus time per move

Ranking: based on points scored;

Buchholz score,

Progressive scoring,

head-to-head results,

Competition participants:

Only participants with a valid Hungarian competition license and Hungarian citizenship, or players listed on the FIDE list with the HUN designationare eligible to participate in the competition.

The maximum number of participants is 250, which will be filled in the order of registration.

The competition will be held in accordance with current health regulations, which all participants are REQUIRED to comply with.

Failure to comply with the rules will result in a warning, followed by automatic disqualification (without weighing) of the competitor. 

Registration deadline: July 13, 2025. If the quota is reached before the deadline, the Organizers will not be able to accept any further entries.
